How much are your costume hire rates?
Costume hire starts from $45 which includes most accessories. Add $10 extra for Wig Hire, $10 for Footwear, and $5 for petticoats. The most you'll pay for a complete outfit is $75.
How long can I hire the costume for?
The standard hire period is 2-3 days. If the party is on the weekend, you can pickup the costume on either Thursday or Friday and Return the costume on Monday.
How much is the security bond?
There is a $50-$250 security bond per outfit. The security bond for any costume hire is $100 which is either cash or credit card.
Please be aware some costumes require a cash deposit subject to managment's discretion.
Your Security bond will be returned to you when the entire outfit is returned on the due date.
Unexplained late returns, damage or undue wear will be deducted from your bond at a charge of $10 per day to cover such costs as extra dry-cleaning charges or missed costume hire bookings due to late returns.
A credit card imprint or cash are the acceptable forms of security bond.
What happens if I return my costume late?
A $10 late fee applies per day if you are late returning your costume unless you have arranged this with staff. We will send you an SMS if you are late returning your costume and will continue to do so each day until you make contact with us.
When I'm in the shop, can I pick and choose the costume myself?
Sorry, but we don't allow customers to pick through the costumes. We have extensive photo catalogues customers can browse (this also helps to give our staff an idea of the style of costume you are interested in). Then we simply bring out a suitable selection that are avaialble in your size for you to try on.
Can I Reserve An Outfit?
If you see an outfit online or want a specific character-just ring and we will be happy to hold the costume for a day or two with all the accessories for a fee of $10.That way it's all ready for you to try on when you come into the shop. If you find something you like thats for an event some time away - it's no problem to organise a definite booking for the particular date.
Do I need to clean the costume?
No. You don't need to clean the costume. We do that for you. Some items may be subject to a drycleaning levy charge of $10 which is payable when you hire the costume.
Can I Get A Costume Altered?
We are more than happy to make adjustments (where possible) to your outfit so that you feel comfortable and confident when you head out for the night.There is no extra charge for this service, we only ask that you allow for the extra time this will take.
What ID Is Required To Hire?
To hire from us, we need to have an acceptable form of identification. We prefer: current drivers licence or passport.
What Payment Methods Do You Accept?
You can pay for your costume hire in any of three ways: by either cash, EFTPOS or a credit card. The security bond can only be left with us as: credit card deposit or cash.
Can I Bring Part Of My Own Costume?
Of course, we are happy to assist you in putting together a great outfit! We hire small accessories or entire outfits depending on your requirements. If you bring part of your costume, we can provide advice and see what we have in store to compliment your item.
How Long Is The Hire Period?
Standard hire period is for 2-3 days. This means you can hire the costume on either Thursday, Friday or Saturday and return on Monday between 11am - 6:30pm. The hire period is the same for mid-week costume hires.
We are closed on Sunday, therfore all returns are due on Monday (if the Monday is a public holiday-returns due tuesday instead.)
Can You Provide Party Discounts?
Sure- we provide a 5% discount for 10 or more complete costumes hired at the one time. If you are organising an event or production we are more than happy to provide group discounts.
Do you hire kids costumes?
Unfortunately no. We do not hire kids costume at this point of time.
Can I exchange a sale item?
No, we don't exchange or refund masks, wigs or other costume accessories unless the item is returned in its original condition and packaging with an accompanying receipt. Your purchased item will need to be returned on the same day if possible. Otherwise, please call us and let us know you will be returning the item.
Do you accept AMEX?
Yes, we accept AMEX but there is a 2.5% surcharge on all AMEX transactions. This is to cover the bank fees charged by our bank.
